Montauk

Summer is in full swing in our neck of the woods and NYC is warm and wonderful. In past years, we've stayed put all season long to enjoy lazy weekends in the city when the rest of Manhattan is Hampton-ing it up.

Not this weekend.

I am off to Montauk for a girls' trip and as you read this, I should be curled up on the train with a good book well on my way for some fun in the sun.

I just wish these cool sunglasses (first spotted by Grace) had arrived before today though.

Hope your weekend is as wonderful as mine.

Momofuku Quack

We've had an uptick in socialising this past week - two sets of visitors from Sydney, two birthday parties, a Bastille Day game night, and our usual Friday evening date. That meant I was more than happy to cheer and celebrate Germany's win this afternoon from the comfort our my sofa.

But first let's recap yesterday afternoon, when I got a bunch of friends together for the rotisserie duck lunch at Momofuku Ssäm, one of the best food-related things we've done in NYC this year.

Old Is New Is Perfect (Red), White and Blue

Happy Independence Day weekend!

It has once again been a few weeks since I updated the blog. While I enjoy blogging and I have a backlog of photos to put here, I've been making a conscious effort to stay away from the computer when I'm not at work, instead spending more time with loved ones, and living the very moments that, ironically, make good blog fodder.

This website's purpose is first and foremost a "diary" of my adventures. To that aim I am in no way calling it a day. I still look back at posts of days past and reminisce over pictures of places I've been to, dishes I've ate and pretty things I've worn. To be perfectly honest, my memory can only retain so many experiences. So in the name of balancing the living of life and the conscientious jotting down of memories, let's aim for a once-a-week posting schedule shall we?
