An AMNH Comeback

I visit The Met like it's going out of fashion, but once we realised it had been 4 years since we were last at The American Museum of Natural History, we grabbed my corporate pass and headed uptown.
Skipping the special exhibits, we revisited the mammals and the dinosaurs:

Before departing, we made sure to pay homage to our Malaysian and Oceanic roots in the Pacific hall:
The only museum with a Shake Shack next door, this marvelous space is another reason I will probably never leave this awesome city.

I have not worn this all-Anthro outfit for over a year and it was the perfect match to my amazing blow out(God bless the darling boyfriend for buying me a PACK for St Valentines Day!)
Compeer dress (similar here), Blooming Lattice Cardigan, Peppermint Swirl Spectators and Sunset Scroll Tights (please join me in a moment of silence to honour the amount of time I spent googling each item's Anthro name!)

...and a massive round of applause to my new Astrological Map Bracelet -  care to guess my star sign?

  1. I love that bracelet! And btw, I know how time consuming the name researching can be. I sometimes give up.

I wish I lived closer to a fantastic museum.

    1. It's funny I used to so on top of these fancy names - now I couldn't care less!

We may have this museum but we don't have one for beer!

  2. wow- I love these late-winter sun-drenched photos outdoors! This is a gorgeous classic anthro combo- love the vibrancy of the compeer dress and those adorable shoesies.

Love your shots of the sweet lil' settings- on my first visit to the NHM I was a little disturbed at the poor stuffed critters, but now I love them. There's a neat photo book by Nealy Blau that looks like landscape photos, but they're really all details from natural history museums. gorgeous.

    1. The sun was barely warm though so I put on my coat as soon as these photos were taken!

Wow! Nealy Blau is so talented - I am going to see if I can find "Elsewhere" at a bookstore!
ps This article in the NY Times talks about the restoration project currently taking place on the dioramas: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/23/arts/artsspecial/diorama-restoration-at-the-american-museum-of-natural-history.html?pagewanted=all

  3. Love your hair and that is one of my favorite cardigans!

I am ashamed to admit I haven't been to this museum yet, but it's on my list of things to do!

    1. Thanks Kavita! Let me know when you have a break from study so that we can do coffee or even a museum trip!
